A New Beginning

I loved sharing an experience with this stunning lady who had left a very long career in pursuit of new opportunities. Leaving Sydney and the safety of one business, to interstate and then to start a whole new business from scratch, I know how fear and doubt can creep in.

I also know how empowering it can be to set yourself in the right direction with a whole new confidence in yourself. Sometimes just realigning the perception of yourself can really be helpful to giving you a confident stride going into the unknown.

Jan came to me to create a collection of personal images to help her apply for positions in her new career path, but was pleasantly surprised by the “side benefits” of having a photo shoot with me.

Jan shared with me that she decided to have a photo shoot with me because she “Saw an advertisement in Profile magazine which featured an ‘ordinary’ woman and the photo seemed to show her personality as the focus rather than artificial glamour” — exactly what I aim for in with every person I photograph, LOVE that she was drawn to that connection.

Of her experience with Mel & I she said, “I had not experienced a relaxing time with other women for a long time and this gave me courage to seek out other opportunities. Both ladies modelled acceptance and respect and seemed to enjoy my company as much as I enjoyed theirs.” We did, it was really special to see Jan open up, relax and really enjoy herself – I understand how intimidated and exposed a camera can make you feel.

“The purpose was to have photos for professional use, however the very enjoyable experience of the photo shoot was an unexpected treat. At a time when I was feeling quite low Paula’s team delivered what they promise, and more. The experience was holistic and more than a photo shoot.”

Wow that is so special. We are delighted to have helped Jan to find her essence & step forward with confidence.
