“Oh my God, that is not me
Oh Paula – that is not me
Wow Paula (holding tears down)
I have never ever seen myself like that before…” – Ida
This is what I hear time and time again, as women look at their photos for the first time.
It is not unusual for women to break down.
And it gets me every time.
Cause I know what that is like. I have sat in that seat before.
I usually just give them a hug, and let them know that it is all them.
Because it is.
Yes we do makeup, yes I know how to pose women, yes I know how to get certain reactions.
But what I unearth, was always there.
It just lay dormant, and needed to be woken up.
All I do is give her a little encouragement.
Her inner devine self comes rushing to the surface and I hold up a mirror to reflect it back to her.
We all have a Goddess inside, just waiting to be stirred.
And that is what I love to capture.
Ida,
You invited me to capture you at a very poignant time in your life story.
You are a Goddess, thank you for allowing me to mirror that to you.
