Ever found yourself embarrassed when someone asks you submit a photo of yourself for work purposes?

Let me hear a resounding…. YUUUP!

And I am almost ashamed to admit this, but until recently I have only had a handful of images that were taken by my second photographers of me on working on shoots that I used as my profile pics.

OK, so I will be the first to put my hand up and admit that when it comes to getting my photo taken, there can be a little bit of resistance come up from deep within, even for me who when asking people to pose in front of me can come across confident as anything on my shoots.

It is not that I don’t particularly like having my photo taken, I think I am just so used to being on the opposite side of the camera that it just weirds me out to stare down the lens from the other side

And if I am honest, I suppose the perfectionist in me kicks in and wont rest until I think it is perfect, and let’s face it girls, how often have you looked at yourself and thought you were perfect.

In the past I have had no filter when photoshopping myself, often morphing myself into some version of me that looked nothing like the truth, but no no no, I just couldn’t stop myself with those radical tools on my face and arms.

Couple this also with a “busy” work schedule I just never seem to make the time for photos just for me, and just for my business.

As I get busier and get more exposure, I know it is vital that I have fresh images out there of me that really depict MY personality and style and above all are relatable and give people a little visual sneak peek of who I am and what I am about. Hell this is what I am preaching everyday, so it was time to walk my talk 🙂

Recently I found myself on personal branding shoots with clients saying ALOT, “I just wish someone would do this for me”

So I decided that I really needed to pull the finger out, and step in front of the camera.

So who better to enlist for help than my long time mentor, the person who taught me everything I know from scratch and who know me the second best in the whole world, my dad.

It was so much fun just letting lose in front of the camera, I don’t know why I put it off so long to be honest!

These are just a few of my favs, and now when anyone asks me for a photo for ANYTHING, I can confidentally go to my collection of over 150 images and be pushed to choose!
