Personal Branding – Amanda Meryle Photography
Ever wish you could get someone to do what you do for them to you?
OK so I have just reread that sentence and maybe it seems a little suggestive! And could be interpreted the wrong way!
So for me, this looks like the exact experience I had with Amanda Meryle, a beautiful Portrait photographer in Melbourne.
I joined Amanda at her gorgeous home studio in the outskirts of Melbourne, and we created the kind of images I know she needs and will put to great use to help women to connect with the person behind the lens. (I know this cause I kinda need them myself!)
Cause let’s face it, going to a photoshoot is a HUGE deal, it is really confronting for most women. And even if you do feel 100% confident in yourself all the time (is that even a thing?) the thought of letting yourself go and being vulnerable with another person tucked behind the lens can be very intimidating.
Amanda recognised the need to diffuse the anxiety and share more of herself and her life in her social feed, so women would feel more comfortable and get to know the person behind all the pretty photos they see on her pages.
And so she put aside her own insecurities about jumping on the other side (trust me us photogs are the worst for “being” in photos) so she can serve more women who need to see themselves through her lens.
Have to say I fell totally under the spell of budding photographer Samantha (Amanda’s daughter) who just totally blew me away. Talk about taking after her Mumma!
