Personal Branding – Michelle Beresford Empire Bridal

Do you find your social pages FULL to the brim of the products you sell, which is all well and good, but lacking in a bit of depth and personality?

Including behind the scenes photography and video of what you do and what it feels like to work with you is a great way to help your potential clients to connect with, well, YOU!

We all LOVE to see what people are up to daily, but it is not always easy to document right?

I know for me, there are so many moments when I am on a shoot when I wish we could simply stop set up a great behind the scenes pic and upload it straight away to insta.

But when I am on a job with a client, that is their time, not mine. Sometimes we do get behind the scenes as it is great for both parties to have, but I am always so mindful that my attention and time need to be focussed on the person I am capturing and to honour their time with my attention focussed solely on them. To keep stopping to make their shoot about promoting me is (I believe) just quite frankly rude and selfish.

Michelle Beresford of Empire Bridal in the outer suburbs of Melbourne was finding exactly that. She had great images of her gorgeous gowns, but she herself (her point of difference) was missing from her Instagram feed!

As a busy mum of 3 darling little ladies, it is a wonder she is even able to find time to post, let alone “star” in any of the images herself.

So she reached out to me for help to show potential brides, the level of service and care they can expect when they shop in her store. Side note, I have worked in the wedding industry for 20 years and seen a lot of “sales” people and I can honestly say the level of passion Michelle has for what she does to me makes her a “service” based business.

This was a fun shoot, as there were just so many pretty things to capture!
