As I wrap up my season as a portrait photographer of women, I have to admit there have been moments where I wonder if I am making the right decision.

And then I have to reflect on how the wonderful timing of life has worked out for me in the past.

Recently looking back at so many of the relationships I have captured, I came across this photo shoot with Pam, mum Janice, and daughter Jess.

In the week that they first came to visit me, I had just started thinking about taking on a trainee. 

I needed someone young and fresh, who was personable and able to shadow me without too much guidance (it is hard to stop and talk on a shoot)

And literally I think two days after the thought popped into my head, in walks Pam and Jess. 

Jess not only filled my criteria but has turned out to be a lovely addition to my growing team.

Divine timing right?

And that’s what I trust the change I have ahead of me will bring. 

The opportunities the support and the space to serve more women.
