This time last year, I was still in the relatively early stages of building my business. Working lots of late hours to keep my Sydney business ticking whilst trying to study edit network market and shoot by day for the new business. My baby, my dream.
At the same time I set about writing down my goals for the year ahead, and on my list right near the top, was to shoot covers for Profile Magazine. This is not something I really talked much to anyone about, I just set about making it possible for this to come to fruition.
I am a reader of Profile, and whenever it came out I would always check through the photos to see who the photographer was and where the latest cover location was.
I was determined to get on the cover, at least once, and am so proud to show off my first cover for the magazine that was on my goal list for a whole year 🙂
And it seemed befitting that the incredible woman I photographed was the enigmatic Jane Meredith, CEO & founder of Secrets Sssh, an incredible business birthed here on the Sunshine Coast.
What amazed me about Jane, is that this awesome spectacular business woman, shared she was crippled very early on by the same insecurities and fears that I was plagued by in my first couple of years of this business. She shared generously her story in the magazine, and I urge any woman starting out or considering beginning the journey that is entrepreneurship to read her story.
When I met Jane at the launch party, I told her I wish more amazing women like her would share their story, cause I think it is really easy to look at a person who is successful and think that it happened overnight, but every journey begins with a dream, and no dreams can become reality without some scary action along the way.
