Michelle is an intelligent funny and drop dead gorgeous woman, and is mother to incredible bubbly and cute angels. Here she tells, rather awesomely, about her experience with me…

​I really hate being in front of the camera.  I always look so wooden, or accidentally pull silly looking expressions.  But I love photographs!  Black and white photographs in particular.  And I love images of my two little girls the most.  Who wouldn’t love a special image of themselves with their children?  A moment in time captured forever.  I knew I did – but the thought of what that would involve, and the inevitable disappointment in the final product meant that I have procrastinated.  As mums, we know all too well how a photography session is likely to pan out … the stress of finding the “right outfits” for yourself and the children … keeping them entertained while you dig around in the bottom of your handbag for some makeup to slap on as you head out to the chosen location.  It’s enough to say “that’s okay – just a picture of the kids would be lovely”.

Well … a session with Paula is NOTHING like that!  Paula’s style is so beautifully crisp, clean and relaxed.  I arrived feeling exhausted after a night of insomnia with my two bubbly girls and their two freshly hatched chicks (school project).  As a mum herself, Paula is so good at conversing with kids and she whisked my princesses away to play fairy dress ups and make tea.  I sat down to a nice quiet stretch of time with the stylist before Paula popped back in with a fairy skirt for me!  That’s when the fun really began!

A session with Paula is so easy and enjoyable.  Her skills are so well honed that it doesn’t take 10 hours to get “the right” shots.  I felt so relaxed the whole time and the girls had such a ball – not only did we end up with beautiful images to treasure forever, but the cherished memory of a wonderful shared experience.  And – although I knew my pretty little poppets would look magical, I was quite unprepared for the fact that I would be really pleased with how Paula managed to capture me.  Her images capture so much more than the exterior.  Thank you lovely Paula – I cannot convey how much the experience meant to me, to us.
