What do you do when you are on the cusp of change?
This can come in the form of a rebrand of your business, but it may also come in the form of a rebrand of the way you perceive yourself.
Is that even a thing? I think I just made it one!
I only just realised the other day, as my good friend Melissa Jean and I were lunching, that I have a habit of getting a photoshoot done for me whenever I am on the cusp of change.
It was kind of freaky when she said it, and I could totally look back and track this to be oh-so-true.
It is totally my M-O
When I track back there is a definite pattern….
I had photos taken on my wedding day, then when I was pregnant and in Aria’s first few weeks.
These ones are kind of standard right?
But I also had a shoot with Sue Bryce (the big one that totally changed the way I saw myself) just after I split from my husband.
When my last relationship broke down I had a beautiful shoot – just Aria and I.
And as I sat at lunch asking MJ to book us in for a shoot, I realised here I am again on the cusp of change.
On the cusp of a rebrand, a kind of identity shift as I say goodbye to portraits and create space for more branding work.
So I totally identify with one of my fav clients Emma Greyson recently when she asked me to help her with her business rebrand.
Emma has impressed me so much in the past for her no bullshit, ass kicking way she coached business owners to grow their businesses profitably.
And to see her totally embrace the shifts she has had in her personal life and allow that to transcend into her business just lights me up.
Cause I know for me in my business, my personal brand identity has shifted and changed so much over the years. Not so much my core values, but definitely the way I perceive myself. And therefore the way I want to be perceived.
And so too for Emma. She started to realise the corporate image she used to project, really didn’t fit with the way she actually delivers and connects.
She wanted to share more of her connected spiritual parts of her.
So we got outside, we got super in tune to create a collection of images to help her visually communicate to her audience this shift in not only herself but also in the way she will be doing business.
I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next. And I can’t wait to share images from my shoot with you too!
Enjoy the highlights,
P
