Personal Branding – Teresa Wood – Stylist

The number thing that always comes up when I am planning a shoot with someone, is clothing!

It seems to bring up all kinds of feelings like – I don’t have enough, or my wardrobe is not good enough or I don’t fit into any of my favourite clothes.

Can you relate to any of the above?

My answer is usually always, you have what you need already, maybe you just don’t know how to put it together? And maybe you just need a few good pieces to tie it altogether.

Enter Teresa Wood, a Melbourne based Stylist who knows how to pair high fashion pieces with absolute bargains and make you not only look good in what you wear, but also feel confident!

It has to be said that for me, photographing a stylist is kind of like a dream and a nightmare at the same time.

Sooooo many clothes to choose from, which can be a good thing but I have sometimes found it a little overwhelming too! And I have to be honest, I was a little freaked out about how I would manage leading up to Teresa’s shoot as part of a Social Sessions Experience in Melbourne recently.

Styling is one element that needs to be done swiftly on the morning, and if ladies aren’t organised it can lead to a bit of overwhelm on our behalf!

But when Teresa arrived, it seemed like she had less than all the other women on the day (although her big suitcase did hold ALOT!)

It turned out Teresa and I were kind of in sync when we were planning out her outfits on the morning of her shoot, I gave her the location and the vibe and she came up with the looks, paired them with accessories and created complete transformations for herself with each look with ease.

And the results are oh so good. A mix of lifestyle and hints of a fashion style element for Teresa, she now has at least a years worth of photo content to keep her Instagram looking fresh.

What’s best, is this will help Teresa to reach more women who maybe just need a little guidance to get the most out of their current wardrobe or even the most out of a personal branding shoot!
